内容記述 | The article by Alexander Prasol covers the earliest stage in developing of the Japanese educational system (8-10 AD). By that time the previous stage of unsystematic studies in the Chinese classical literature had completed, and the first educational institutions in the capital and other places started to be registered officially. The Chinese culture had a significant impact on the process of the Japanese school establishing. It was spreading in Japan directly from Chinese empires (Sui and Tan), as well as through the ancient states in the Korean peninsula. The article focuses on the principle national features of the Japanese educational system, applied in three different types of schools, located in the capital (central educational adiministrative Board "daigakuryo", educational administrative Board of Medicine "ten 'yakuryo" and educational administrative Board of Fine Art "gagakuryo") and one type of the provincial school, known as "kokugaku. Besides, an overview of Chinese classical texts, used as textbooks is given in the article as well as a system of qualifying examinations for the government posts and their relation to school curricula. The role of such social issues as a system of succeeding to aristocratic ranks (ohn'i) and its influence on the establishing of formal education in Japan is discussed. The final part of the article describes the private family schools and the role they played in disintegration of the first state educational system in ancient Japan. | |||||
